My Brain and Faith Interview with Steve Cuss
Brain science, attachment theory, and who we are in Christ
So sorry for being so absent the last month or so.
I had a really long sickness—and then of course, handed it off to Cyd. Then we were out of town for a writing retreat. And then I was trying to get caught up from being sick and being gone on a writing retreat. I had BIG plans for writing about “The Therapy of Lent”, with nothing but the first post—on Ash Wednesday—to show for it (and now it is Eastertide).
A new Attaching to God Learning Cohort is starting April 123, focused on Quieting an Anxious and Avoidant Faith. Get the details here.
All of that is why this announcement is two weeks late…
The Brain and Faith: Brain science, attachment theory, and who we are in Christ.
But the wonderful Steve Cuss had me on his podcast, Being Human (and I love that title), produced by Christianity Today, to talk all about integrating faith and science (links audio and video below).
Here’s the description:
On this episode, Holsclaw and Cuss talk about attachment theory, philosophy, and theology. They discuss liturgical practices that shape people and communities and consider how physical bodies relate to one another in spiritual spaces. Their conversation includes Holsclaw’s participation in the Vineyard Movement, what it looks like to combine the charismatic and liturgical, and what drew Holsclaw to brain science.

Great interview! The work that you are doing is so important. Steve Cuss is an impressive guy, to be invited to be interviewed by him is recognition of valuable work. Well done Geoff!
